AeroShell and AeroShell W Oils (the first ash-less dispersant oils) are intended for use in four-stroke cycle aircraft reciprocating piston engines. These oils reduce friction between moving parts, provide necessary cooling to internal areas, cushion moving parts against shock and help seal piston rings to cylinder walls, protect highly finished internal parts of the engine from rust and corrosion, and keep the interior of engines clean and free of dirt, sludge, varnish and other harmful contaminants. To maximize engine performance and engine life, the selection of the right grade oil is imperative: For running-in, use AeroShell Oils and for normal operation, use AeroShell W Oils. AeroShell Oils and AeroShell W Oils are available in the following grades: AeroShell Oils 65, 80, 100 and 120, and AeroShell W Oils W65, W80, W100, W120, 15W-50, W80 Plus and W100 Plus.
